Your ClothesWhat happens to your clothes?
When you put clothes in the Gaia-Movement's collection boxes you help support environmental efforts all over the world and provide clothes to those in need. Each week you help Gaia recycle 100,000 lbs of clothes, save 15,000 ft3 of landfill space, and provide 20,000 people with affordable clothing.
After you drop off your clothes the collection boxes are emptied at least once a week. The clothes are brought to one of the Gaia-Movement's warehouses, either in Chicago, Indianapolis, or Sacramento.

The clothes are pressed into bales, put into sacs, or just loaded loosely onto the truck.

Toys, shoes, and othe miscellaneous items are seperated and packed into sacs or boxes
 
The clothes and other items are sent all over the U.S. and to the Ukraine, Honduras, Italy and other locations. Your donations provide people in these areas with good affordable clothes. The proceeds from selling the clothes go to Gaia projects that improve the environment
